Creating for Love

There is joy in pursuing a creative endeavor without the pressure of making money out of it or gaining recognition for it.

If we create to gain something external to us according to the measurements and desires that are not our own, then in that process, the act of creating is shadowed by the anxiety for external perfection.

But the impetus to create, at its origin, is a desire to express a story, a feeling, or a conviction inside us. For what we love and out of our love.

When released from the pressure of creating as a means to an end, we can create for love.

And love is internal perfection.
