The Desert is Boundless

The desert is boundless. There, you temporarily forget the limits of the world and your life. There appears to be no limit to the land whereas you are so small, a grain of the sand and a part of the land that has no end. By becoming a part of the desert, you also become boundless. You are no longer held by the torments that in some way identified you as uniquely yourself. You are vast enough to hold God. The air is gritty with sand. Your skin brushes against his granular roughness.
